Sport played a huge role in my childhood but at 15 I injured my knee playing cricket and lost confidence in my goal to become a world champion sportsman.
A year later, I watched Jean-Claude Van Damme in ‘Kickboxer’ which inspired me to become more athletic and develop a more muscular and chiselled physique.
I continued playing tennis at The Cumberland Lawn Tennis Club in West Hampstead but prioritised weightlifting and by the time I was 20, my transformation became noticeable to the members and coaches there.
I began training one of the coaches who had suffered a knee injury and wanted to be able to run again and do her job without pain. My method helped her and I was soon inundated with clients.
After Spring Health gym closed a few years ago, locals have been coming to my private gym for one on one, bespoke workouts.
